And I'm digging this thing. It's a 2010 Access cab TRD w/backup camera and most the other options one could have gotten on it as well. It's got 26k miles and is Certified so I have a 100k warranty until 2017 and in addition to all of that it's got a TRD supercharger which puts it at 304hp and 334ft lb and is all covered under the warranty. That sound is SO addicting.

    Here it is:

Got a grocery list of things to do but I'm digging this thing.

Here's an underhood pic showing that secksi supercharger:

Here's a more recent shot w/o the bug deflector, window thingies and a few things done like tinted windows and such:

Slap on an intake and exhaust and you will be even happier with that sound :).

Well, let's just say it was several grand BELOW book value not even taking the supercharger into consideration. We also got a couple grand above book on our Camry Hybrid for trade-in. I'm not sure how they plan to make money but it was the last day of the month and they were excited to move some units. :D

It has an exhaust already but I'm just not sure which one (to be honest I didn't crawl around underneath this purchase examining every square inch with a fine tooth comb since it's under warranty). The previous owner was an OEM parts fanatic so I'm hoping it's a TRD exhaust. I've already pulled off a bunch of OEM accessories so hopefully the theme carries over to the plumbing. As for intake, I see the faint edge of what looks like an aftermarket filter inside the intake so while it's not a full aftermarket intake setup it appears to be something high-er flowing. I do know that it doesn't have factory mufflers hanging from the stock hangers and appears to be of decent construction from what I've see.

Thanks man! Are you running premium unleaded? Curious if you're doing anything specific to get over 20mpg avg. in a DC.

With the TRD SC you need to run 91 octane or higher...

Yes and no. That's a pretty broad statement and not really what I was asking. In my case specifically there are more than one maps on the ECU and if mid-grade is run it will go to a lower map which pulls timing but power and fuel economy suffers. The dealer filled up my tank and I didn't have a say in what gas they put in so that's why I didn't have premium in it for the first tank. Hence the poor fuel economy. I plan to run Premium but I was more curious what he was getting since he had a similar setup. Also, the octane ratings are different here at elevation so mid-grade is 89oct and 91oct is premium but because of the air density here things are different. I'm just wanting to know what the other guy gets so I can know what to expect plus everyone keeps asking me and I don't have an answer for them other than the figures I know from non-s/c trucks.

Thanks buddy, I'm liking it a lot.

Seems to run pretty alright. I've had many cars in my life and some were quite fast so to me it feels pretty pedestrian as most stuff does that's not stupid fast. I've had friends with me who comment that it's pretty darn fast so I won't argue with that. :D The downside is at this elevation cars are stupid slow and with the difference in power I bet my truck here with a supercharger isn't much faster than an n/a truck at sea-level. I hated driving cars at sea-level when I traveled them coming home because it's a night and day difference. Forced induction is slightly more efficient at this elevation but it still sucks.

I absolutely run 93 premium. I am about 70 - 80% highway and I keep it around 65 max. The speed limit here around Chicago is a blazing 55MPH.

Also, I just had the SC installed about 3 fill-ups ago so we will see how things go from here.

That makes sense. I plan to run premium (which happens to be 91oct here ) from here on out and I'm guessing I can expect high teens for mpg.

Run 91 if you're going to drive around in boost...the only way timing will be pulled from the ECU is when it detects knock...you're strapping a 4k supercharger to your truck so you should be able to afford premium. Forced Induction creates alot of heat and that extra margin of safety helps make your engine last.
