My battery died last night, shes so dead the doors won't even lock.:( Anyways my question is are the TrueStart (toyota replacement batteries) the same as the factory battery? The factory battery has been great, its 5 years and 4 months old, so if the Truestart is the same thing i will buy another, and if not then i will probably get an EverStart Maxx. Thanks in advance.

Not the point, my truck died in my driveway, I just thought it was odd that it died so suddenly. I started my truck and moved it so i could mow and it started fine (no dragging) then went to move it back to its spot later and it was completely dead

When a battery goes it goes, modern batteries give little warning,

So....to recap....The OP asks if the said battery is the same as OEM, and OZ simply says "you can lock the doors with the key"....

Actually it only does the drivers and passenger side door(must be done separately), the back two have to be done manually cause' they dont have keyholes! :D

it unlocked with the key fob like normal, then when i got there and opened the door my map lights dimmed and went out, i turned the key and the dash lights wouldn't even come on for me so i jumped it with my sisters car and pulled it back into its spot

He was simply making a point in which to show how dead the battery is. He never said "HALP!! Im locked outta me truck! "
