does anyone know hard installing an AAL is for a 2nd gen? i checked the write up from Chris4x4 but i cant tell if this is easy or super hard, Also with just a 2" AAL with no tsb do i NEED new u bolts? all i have now is a new centering pin and the leafs

So just TSB AAL, no different U-bolt. I'm pretty sure if you have a 2" AAL, you will need a different U-bolt... I know I did. I had the TSB done, and then added the AAL.

ask jace if you should get gears with an auto... haha

i've seen him recommend almost every auto who talks about gears that it's not worth it unless you really go up with tire size as the autos do not need them as much as manuals do. with 35s you maybe getting into that range of needing them, but ask jace about them he'll probably advice against them at this point.

locker not needed for most trails, but when you start getting >6 rating, you start seeing more ledges that will lift the tires independently causing more of a need for the lockers.

Bob we hangodut too much lol.... but yeah Devin id say no gears, an auto is an infinite gear ratio. its kind of a test out with 35s and see how it runs. if u cant crawl then gears. simple as tht. however i agree with Bob a locker in moab is pretty important because most trails cause tires to be li lifted
