Yeah it may have been a knee jerk reaction lol
He and stepan were battling hard the whole game so orpik was intent on notletting him blow by. It's a dangerous play hopefully he's ok.

Do you find it ironic that Torts was "whining" about how much the Pens "whine" Its like a double negative. You would need a translator to find out what Malkin whines about. His English is terrible. Torts needs to shut up.

While there was obviously knee on knee contact, it doesn't look obvious to me that Orpik suck out his knee. It looks like Orpik had a wide stance and was trying to make upper body contact...

Too bad though. I hope Stepan is fine. Knee injuries are brutal.

Those Rangers fans should be thrilled. They get to destroy either the caps or the Sens in the first round. An upset there would be a choke job no less shocking than the rat swallowing the snake.

They should feel lucky to have even made the playoffs... Past 3 years of missing the playoffs to go golfing should motivate them.

You think the league will step in for a non player-safety play? What do you want them to do, take back the SJ win? Start the game over from that point of Clowe's stick reach?

Worse case I can see, officials will contact SJ and speak with them off record. Remember last year during the playoffs (think it was 1st round) and Bieksa of the Canucks covered up a goal cam to make the play harder to review... he was phoned by officials who said "don't ever do that again"

That's the most Clowe will see out of this whole thing.

After last night, hopefully the Bruins get the Sens. The Bs have owned them all season.

How good is their system? Torts just tells guys to block shots, if they get injured, call up another one from the AHL. Drop 'em like Dominos!

Not sure Henrik should be up for Vez since so many shots are blocked before even reaching him - but then again, there's not much else in the East as far as goalies. Think it'll be between Henrik and Quick

    I agree.

I watched a good deal of their game last night and I think they have a strong defense, but their offense is lacking. I can't really say to much since they swept the Flyers in all 6 reg season games. I don't think they will enjoy the same comfort in the playoffs as they have had in the reg season.

they do block a lot of shots. If guys start getting injured doing this, they wil be screwed. The Rangers are a big, tough team though. They have the pieces to win, though I wouldn't bet them past the first round at this point.

Did anyone else see what Ryan Clowe did last night? Reached out from the bench with his stick and stopped the Kings' odd man rush. If I were a sharks fan Id be embarrassed

Yeah there's an article on MSN I saw this morning. Never seen anything like it. And after the game Clowe acted like he knew nothing about it
