The scope rings to see Reamy high up but whenever you bring the gun up you dont have to tilt your head to see through it. Its right at eye level

Got to drill some zombies yesterday morning... Couldn't believe how dead on that ACOG is at 600 meters... No wonder military swears by it... I'm really impressed in how it can give you the best of both worlds... With being a combat and long range scope.. worth every penny..

True, but being that far above the barrel axis, it really screws with your zero.

Man-sized target? Oh ya... you'll be running kill shots out to 300yds without a problem, but for sport target shooting, it's going to require more "Kentucky Windage"

That's one reason that I'm constantly debating the benefits/drawbacks of absolute co-witness and lower 1/3rd co-witness on red-dot and holographic sites.
I really like the uncluttered FOV with the lower 1/3rd, but it's "that much more" above the barrel axis.

    That's not the same part I have, FWIW, and I believe there's a reason there's a mod 1. ;)

I like the CF on this gun, but I had mistakenly expected it to not get hot, which it still does. I can't quantify if it gets as hot as an aluminum part or not, but I'm going to try to do that at some point. I'm also not 100% sold on the durability over the long haul. For a three-gun rifle I think it's more than fine, but for an actual "hard use" gun I'm not so sure just yet.

this too. there is a thread on here about people regretting selling guns.
I am one of them. I sold a remington 700 .308 heavy barrel for a RRA AR15...stupid horrible mistake
