    This was taken during this past week's south shore swell, the barge pumping sand isn't in the picture (they had it go back to home base to avoid damage) but do you guys notice the sand color difference? It's pretty nasty how the color is different & there is this white cloudy water closer to shore everyday lol.

    basically, sand and tidal erosion moves the sand off waikiki...

    so barges pump sand back onto the beach

    but the new sand can cause the water to get murky
