First off...I hope he gets jail time. You can't fix stupid.

Second...that's vandalism and he will probably receive a fine.

Find out soon enough... I know I'd be pissed though. He will likely just be in charge of getting it down. He could get in trouble though if the homeowner is pissed.

Typical teenage behavior... Jail time is unwarranted and ridiculous. I did the same thing, but it was in middle school.

At most misdemeanor vandalism... probably just a ticket. If he agrees to clean it up, maybe the owner's will not press charges. Not sure how CA laws are.

Satoshi, debadged, rear view mirror bracket, tail gate hose clamps, trimmed mud flaps.
    Seriously?!:der:

Nothing wrong with a little fun. Although, if the OP did it to a compete stranger, than yea, probably some community service may be in order.

That is the problem with kids these days, they don't go outside and 'play' anymore. They sit in front of their computer or messing with their iPhone inside all day.

Do the homeowners know your brother? Do you live in the same neighborhood? If there is no connection and it is a completely random person, then he probably won't get caught even if you can see his face (unless the cameras got a license plate or some other identifier). So he shouldn't freak out too much.

If he does get caught, he could get a fine (not highly probably depending on age), and he might be able to work out some deal with the owners and police officer and your parents such as cleaning up the person's yard of the TP and apologizing at the worst.

If he is really that worried about it, he could just go to the person's house and confess to it and offer to clean it up.

Most likely the homeowners wont bother to prosecute your brother, maybe they will make him clean it up, the cops might talk to him. IMO. But the cops there might be more strict, I dont know

New valve cores and air do not cost almost a grand.

If it were my house, I would be pissed, but I don't think one should go to jail for it. A healthy fine and community service maybe, but not jail.

Busted CV boots and lots of squeaks.
Silly kids and their TP pranks. But really....... don't be stupid, you will figure that out when you are a little older.
