    Good luck, I'm sure you're ready. As an Engine Medic (NR-EMTP) with a large U.S. FD I'm sure you're well prepared. Get them to the hospital alive and you've done your job, just remember some are beyond your control and you'll lose them. It's no reflection on you and your abilities, some things are out of our hands.

    :eek::eek::eek: O M G TacoRider??? Is that you?????
    :eek: I promise I'll post some. I don't have it with me. I'm on the ground ambulance today. ;) I also learned that it's quite difficult to take it off. I have to do weird acrobatic maneuvers with my shoulders. And NOOOO it's not too small. :cool:

    :thumbsup: That's always my motto haha I've been involved in the fire service since the early 90's. (started out as a first responder) Did 48's for many years. This is really the first time I've been able to have time to do this part time. I'm very excited. If a full time position came up, I would actually contemplate going back to 48's. :eek:I happen to LOVE the ground ambulance service I work for in my community and don't want to ever quit. I left a big city paid fire/EMS combined service a few years ago to back to teaching EMT/Paramedic. I'm a volunteer FF in my community now. :) I love all three jobs and quite frankly there aren't enough hours to them all as much I would like to.

    ya, that quote is a keeper ;)

    I had noticed quite a few variations of TacoRider on here and wanted to have a name that's more unique. haven't made it to the course this season yet, hope to get out in the next week or two.

    Congrats on the new job :yay:

    I like Saskquatch..... Has it been warm enough up there yet? We never had winter. It skipped right over us.

    Thanks! :yay: for helicopters! And the base I'll be working out of is busy. :woot:

    :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: Holy hellfire. It's in the 80's in the day here. Night time around 50's 60's. I don't think we had a day under 50f this winter. I'm afraid it's going to be super hot this summer. Not looking forward to melting and employers tend to frown upon you walking around nekkid. :cool:

    Just north of Columbus. Yeah, it's been way too hot. I enjoy winter/cold for part of the year. I'm from NJ originally and spent 20 some odd years in Illinois.

    That's great. I started out as a Volunteer in 1975, was hired in 1977. After quite a few years later I went to paramedic school, retired in 2002. Keep up the good work, people rely on you. :)

    Awesome. I will and thank YOU for your service. I'm a third generation FF. My cousin (who passed away in December) has two boys who are currently volunteer FF's. One is in the Marines and the other is graduating high school putting in for FDNY.
