    I need to hit the canyonlands np headquarters in moab to pick up a backcountry permit ($10/vehicle) and the campsite permit. the fuel up my truck and hit the grocery stock to get some necessities for the next couple of days. If possible we want to be at the trailhead by 3 pm. I think its like a 25 minute drive from moab.

    I think you and ben will also need your own permit but it will also work later in the week when we do elephant hill.

    That sounds like a good plan. We will be saying sunday night in West Wendover which is about 2.5-3 hours east of SLC on I-80. I am sure there will be cell service for us somewhere in that section.

    Cell service can be sort of spotty between wells and wendover. It's pretty decent from Wendover to SLC. At least I know it is with verizon.
