So I got a random question. This question is in regards to my 1st gen tacoma, for those who know these the muffler is before the right rear wheel. When it comes to emission times do any of you have a short or no tail pipe coming out the side or back (not visible unless you get down and look under). What happens at emissions how visible or how reachable for testing must it be. I'm asking because the weld on my aftermarket muffler broke literally (that person's welds kinda suck) as I went onto the driveway, I heard a clunk and about 4 ft of tail pipe was taking a ride on my axle hanging by the last hanger lol. So any one know how much exhaust I gotta have after my muffler?

AFAIK you have to have the exhaust go past the rear axle. No clue how these guys that dump out the side pass...

    :jellydance:

    You will not be disappointed.

thats what I'm wondering, I want to leave it short under my cab if I can(plan to do aal on mod day) so I want to dump out the side:burnrubber:. I think I'll just start researching

Some guys on here dump right above/after the rear axle... Dumping it out the side will probably be difficult to pass emissions on...

I was not disappointed in the least! Girlfriend talked shit all the way there about the name of the place and then how shady it looked and as soon as she tried the wings i all the sudden became a fucking badass by knowing of the place so, Thank you guys! I had the cricket burger with american cheese, Mushrooms and peanut butter and lettuce, The peanut butter sounds shitty until you bite into it and realize it just gives the hamburger a nice calm little tinge to it :)

Awesome more converts. :) Except now I need to go back and try this PB thing.
Last I read emissions law in CO requires the exhaust to dump after the final axle on any car, truck, or motorcycle. So mine dumps under the truck after the axle. It is level with the top of the axle tube. Had to get an emissions test and the guy struggled a bit finding it and getting the cone on it but never said a word to me about it.
