Not sure if I'll need all of that memory. I'll be putting all my music/pictures on there along with backup software. Reason why I considered 1TB is because it's about 30-40 bucks more depending on brand.

I have the apple airport extreme. It's 1TB and I love it. Never had a wireless problem again once I installed it and that's been almost two years now. It's nice to keep files on one HD so I can access them from my phone laptop and desk top at any time. 1TB is over kill though IMO

I agree with you Jason on 1TB being overkill..I guess I should make a new thread for TW asking "Help me decide on which external hard drive to buy!!" :)

Are all of you guys really going to the TSF run on the 14th? If so, I might go also...might bite the bullet and spend the extra $$..

I'm contemplating the TSF run on the 14th... I'm just grumpy that I'm headed down this weekend for Easter, then I'd be headed down in one more week. Bah!

How long ago was that? I heard that dual sports really didn't start becoming viable until 2000, and even then it was a compromise. I'm really hoping I can find a DRZ400, I've heard those really hit the mark.

Jason, I really like my OME setup, but if you are looking for the step up from that, you might try taking some pointers from Helmut's setup. It felt noticeably better than me (given the cost difference, it better feel different!). However, we are talking FJCs and Tacomas here, so results may very.

I'm kind of noob when it comes to more advanced setups  I ignored reading about it once I found out I didn't have to try affording it.

anyway, this is the best I can get out of him from his build, he doesn't go into detail :(

Bill Wright might also be a worthwhile person to contact, he's there in Beaverton.

On the 14th you might want to go to Puyallup for the 4WP show. Yes, it's sponsored by 4WP, but admission is free and you can potentially talk to the people from ICON... they may have ideas as well, plus there's possible discounts.

    I just got these:

    Seagate 3TB external
    Western Digital 2TB internal

I needed an external for some big files a friend is sending my way, and the internal I'm using in my Linux machine to help get rid of 5 drives, lol. Should also help on the energy bill!

Unfortunately it looks like the prices went up. I would try using the RSS feeds for Dealnews or dealspl.us (copy these URLs and add to google reader or other RSS reader)

Is there a thread on the 14th meet? I'm very interested in going!

Oh and quick question. My driveway is fairly steep. I always park on it and like most put it in first and pull e brake. Today I pulled up. Parked and gathered my things before getting out. I didn't pull my brake and the rig rolled back a couple inches. I was like wtf. Waited and it did it again and again. Is the compression ratio really that low on the four bangers? I never noticed it happening before. Is this something I should be concerned with or take it as a blessing that I could probably jump it pushing alone. Haha

Wish it had turned out better. The Evergreen Air Museum looks pretty cool all lit up at night.
