    What is the tallest tire size you can stuff under a 1st gen 2wd (with no lift)?
    I found this info for the prerunner and 2nd gen... :confused:

    Light bar and bumper guard, 3/16 steel skid plates for engine, tranny and transfer box, OME 881 springs with 5100 shocks at mid clip. AAL in rear. Positraction rear diff.
    Do you know what size tire is on it now. If so you could turn the wheels to full stop ans check the clearance. That would give you an ideal of how much larger you can go. There are conversion tables that can convert the metric size to inches.

    Yes, 1st gen, non-lifted, not prerunner 4x2. Jut like JoeTacoma02's pic--
    I found extensive info in this forum for the 2nd gen 4x2, but nuthin on the 1st gen.

    bridgcat- I got rid of my 4runner and currently have no truck, trying to decide between 1st gen prerunner or regular old 4x2.

    Much easier to lift, and you have A LOT more options with a lot higher quality.

    Pre runner with a 2.7 with stock-ish size tires should get in the arena of 18-20 city and 25 hwy if driven well.

    Well worth it IMO...

    H.I.D 6000K, 5% tint all around, black on blacked out rims(sprayed stock rims), fog light mod, deckplate mod, plastidipped bumper and interior, self made eyelids, window visors, clear corners, Billet grille, trd grill emblem
    235/75/15....I fit them on my stock 5 lugger before my lift. They will slightly rub when going over a speed bump though.....I would go with a 225/70/15 if you don't plan on lifting and going with the 4x2 non pre runner
