Went to Golf Galaxy and got fitted for a driver yesterday. The winner is... Taylormade Rocketballz Tour TP 10.5* averaged 255yds carry and 285yds total. Best part is the deviation was only 6yds so it was consistantly straight

Gonna go down to the golf place Monday and look at some new irons... Might look into replacing my Mizuno mp-60 irons. I have lost some of my striking ability over the years thanks to school/work/weather and am looking to the Taylormade Rocketballz for a replacement. I also may just dump the money into some lessons to get my swing fixed so I can hit these damn things again.

I love my Mizuno's. I have two sets, Mizuno MP 33's when I am playing well. and Mizuno MP 30's when I need a little forgiveness.

Fuck yes! I would love to see him win it. I am okay with Phil winning it too, what the hell why not. Now that Tiger pretty much played himself out of the tournament I'm pretty much impartial.

Yeah I would not mind seeing Phil win it as well. Freddie has always been my favorite player so really pulling for him but Phil sure did play well today. That flop shot on 15 was crazy good.

Yeah it was. Had I been in that position I would have likely chipped it a little lower and played for it to check as it hit the green and then release... Of course I wasn't there, but that would have been my go to shot for sure.

Not sure the accuracy or performance but if you just need an idea of distance and it has your course, use the free app and get a Speed Mountain push cart....or spend a bit more and get the remote control cart. ;)

GPS , but one that doesn't charge you a monthly fee. I bought an Izzo Swami last fall, No fee GPS. It is spot on accurate! It has shaved 8+ strokes off my score. I paid $80 on Amazon with free shipping. I highly recommend it!

Take lessons & that will help greatly. I did last year & I can see my game improving tremendously. $99 for 5 lessons with Get Golf ready

Lucky! If I had access to free lessons I would be using the hell out of them!

Currently I'm going to add backspin to my short game. I've watched several youtube videos, now I need to go practice it.

If you have a smart phone get the SwingbySwing app for a gps. Its easy to use, accurate and its just a great app for free. FreeCaddie is a good app to for it, very simple to use and very easy on your battery.

I played a round of golf this last weekend for the first time in over a year. It felt so good to get back at it. Shot a 44 on the front and 34 on the back. I need to start going more often.

If I started a golf thread it would be in the prayers and support forum. Anything beyond par 3 and golf is one frustrating game.

I've considered the smartphone route, but heard the apps completely nuke your battery. The other downside was that course availability was pretty lacking. For a standalone GPS I was considering a Garmin since a lot of my buddy's use/like them.
