I'm sure many men on here have similar issues with this but here goes. So me and the wife do this same thing all the time. So this morning getting ready for Easter at her family's, and this is our usual routine I might add, She gets in the shower first since it takes her longer. Then I get in while she's doing her hair, make up or what not. Usually by this time I only have 30 minutes which is no big deal since I'm usually done in 15-20. So this morning I get done and go take the dog out and she still isn't ready. I need to piss. My step-daughter has the other bathroom tied up. She finally comes out and is like "lets go, were running late". I say just let me use the bathroom real quick. She gets kinda bent and says, I tell everybody we need to leave by X o'clock and nobody is ready. I get done using the bathroom and have the truck pulled out of the garage and she then comes out as she just got fully ready. But I'm the one that ran us late.

If I get in the shower first I run us late because I was holding her up. I can't win. The man is ALWAYS wrong.

Now most of the time I take it as kinda playing, but today she seemed serious. We do tend to poke at each other like this sometimes. Regardless, I know I will never win this battle, just wanted to vent and see how many other men have the same issue.

    Correct.

I hate being late, I do everything possible to avoid it. My mom is chronically late. I tell her stuff starts 30 minutes earlier than it does. If it's not something mandatory and she's doing her thing being late and making me late, I just won't go; 2 or 3 times where you've put your jacket in the closet and kicked back with a beer rather than be late and she'll probably start getting ready on time.

It took you what, 60 seconds to piss? Next time, just walk in the shitter and take a leak while she's getting ready. I'm an "on time guy, all the time" but really the time it takes to piss is pretty small.

And yes, I've had the problem in the past...yes, the past.
