    I go 4 wheel often in nice weather so I am weary of the magnetic boxes. I would like to hear what else others are doing out there.

    Keep a window down or cracked enough to get your arm in so you dont lock your keys in..it cant be that common for the same person to do that over and over....I always roll my window down if Im going to leave and close the door

    mount a small pelican box? they are durable and waterproof...

    I like to stash a key in the wallet on trips, dont like the keys on the truck...

    I use a piece of steel wire and lash it to the frame in a certain spot where it is out the way and can not be seen unless you know where it is or are looking really hard.

    I like small wallets and there's no way a key will fit in mine.

    I'd have to have the window rolled all the way down in order for my guns to fit through :p

    Seriously though, it's more of a back up in case I lose my keys or something as well.

    And just a heads up, if someone reaches in and grabs your registration, they can easily steal your identity. That's what the savvy asshole crooks are doing these days

    That's what I had.

    Unfortunately I just had to have a new lock cylinder put in my ignition and the blank keys the dealer have these days have that rubber nonsense BS.

    On my dad's silverado we have a bolt welded to the frame and a key with a hole big enough to go over the bolt with a nylock wing nut holding it down.

    Cool idea... but I don't have a hitch.

    And I know they thought of this, if I am, but if it takes seconds to install/uninstall without tools, what's preventing someone from removing the whole assembly from the hitch?

    I don't understand the "two bolts capture but (whatever) inside the hitch" concept
