So I have been trying to get some OME suspension systems installed on my truck for a few months now. The local shop has not been able to get them. They have all the parts for my front end (886 springs and shocks) to support a new ARB bumper. They are thinking that it might be another 3 weeks before the come on. They have some one inch blocks and u bolts that I can throw on the back that will give me about 1" of lift. The 886 coils give my just under 2"'s. What is everyones thought about using the blocks instead of the new spring system. I do not go off road and seldom carry things in the back of the pickup bed.

Shop around the internets for the OME shocks- Try ToytecLifts.com and Wheelersoffroad.com

Blocks are generally not recommended...Can cause all sorts of issues with spring sagging and axel wrap. If you look around you can get the parts you need (probably faster than three weeks) and drop them to your shop.

So blocks are bad then? I have been reading about axe wrap, but I have no idea what that is about... I guess my question is should I wait for the parts, 3 weeks, or go for a block.
