99 Tacoma build TRD OFF ROAD

okay everyone (that looks at my build..) this weekend is my birthday 4/8/94 yeah the big 18.. dont care about that. just care about the mods i asked for! or some money to get some things to mod my TACO! so be ready for a lot of updates coming soon to this thread. im not going to tell you what is is i might get just to piss you off but i hopefully wont let you down. i will take tons of pictures of what i get and the installs.

 

Cant wait to see what you come up with! But I'm gonna take a wild guess and say your after some Billies with ome coils, rims, and a spray in bed liner? Whatever It is I'm sure it'll be sweet!

A better lift and leaf packs? I'm assuming you're still running the stock 3 pack.

 

grandma is suppose to be buying me a new lift for graduation. i was allso thinking about looking around for a cheap brushgaurd like yours. as temp.

 

Oh that's pretty cool. My grandma wouldn't have the first clue as to what a lift kit is lol. Yea I got my brushguard off of ebay for like $180. If I could go back now though I'd save up $200 more and buy a trail gear low profile bumper. They're only like $400

yeah i want trail gear too. im trying to get a brush guard for like max $100. After graduation i would like to have the lift and a front bumper maybe even a winch

 

I know what u mean. Its always nice to upgrade. So far I haven't hit much with my brush guard. I clipped a pheasant pretty good over the headlight and it didn't even scratch it. Hopefully it'll hold up decently against a deer or a car that might happen to back into me.

 

i had a brush guard on my 4runner it was nasty. i hit a car totaled it.. mine was A okay and hit a deer and moved many trees

 

Ha well then you shouda kept it for your Tacoma!

Yea. Its definitely a good idea to have one, if nothing else to cover up our ugly 98-00 grille's. I love mine just because of that!

 

i dont mind the grill on my truck. the 95 grill was uggg

 

I wouldn't say that too loud if I were you. Most people on here lay claim to the 95-97 having the best looking grille. I personally like the 01-04 the best.

 

it not the grill i dont like its the head lights. atleast on my 4runner i didnt like it. the brush guard made it look 100 times better

 

i installed a new head unit. nothing wrong with the old one just wanted the touchscreen and DVD and all that cool stuff.

yeah it flips down. its actuall pretty fast and easy to get to them. ill take better pictures tomorrow. and take a little video. my speakers sound much better with this head unit too. i cant wait to hear what it sounds like after the new speakers

 

how do you like the touchscreen now its been a few days, i been looking at getting one like yours
