Do you know if a remote can be purchased through Rosen or is their no remote available?

I'm pretty sure it can be purchased.

Necro bump with a question for the OP...

    Installed my Rosen yesterday.
Installed the SCC1 and Sirius/Ipod adapter.
Went into maintenance mode and turned Sirius on.

    It's on channel 255 and I can't change it.
Tried activating, but apparently it needs to be on 184.

Any ideas? Bad adapter harness or SCC1?

The Rosen unit itself seems really nice. I'm liking a lot of the features on the Nav unit.
Now I need to get an 8gig micro-SD and transfer my MP3s from the Garmin.

I don't have sirus hooked up so I'm not sure how it works. Have you tried resetting the unit with a paper clip?

    I think I got it.

With the Taco unit being discontinued (and it looks like Rosen is working on a revamp of all systems), web information is spotty.

I referenced a Priuschat thread to get the part number for the adapter... DP1055.
The DP1055 includes the Sirius SCC1 receiver, antenna, and the Rosen iPod/Sirius adapter.

What threw me is the instructions reference the wide white connector next to the fan as the Sat connector, and this adapter plugs into the smaller black connector that the included iPod. Figured it would work.
    It doesn't.

Okay... so last resort, I checked the instructions :D . The Tacoma instructions indicate that the proper adapter cable is the DP-1051-1. The cable that came with the DP1055 kit is the DP-1053.

Unfortunately, the DP1051 cable doesn't come in a kit. I could buy an SCCI separately, but I found the 1055 kit at GDI for about $100 less than Crutchfield, so it would actually cost me more to buy the 1051 and the SCC1... plus I've already opened an account and attempted to activate the SCCI.

But GDI was very quick on shipping the first unit, I would not be surprised if the new cable is here by Friday.

I actually kinda like it this way. I don't have an iPod, so I really don't need the iPod cable taking up room in the glove box. I MIGHT go ahead and install the supplied iPod cable and figure out how to tuck it down into the console area under the AC controls.

Funny but the Rosen unit came with two of the white iPod cables.

I am really liking the unit. Every day I'm finding something new in the Nav features that make me think "Wow, I never had this on my Garmin!"
I do wish that it had traffic information, but in reality, at least here in LA, the radio was always more accurate and more useful than the Garmin, and even at that, the radio is not THAT good. Now, when I went to Texas, the Garmin traffic information in LasCruces and ElPaso was pretty good and accurately matched the reality of what I got into.

BTW: Once I get the DP1051 cable and confirm that it works, I will update here AND post a fresh thread so those searching for the information won't have to read all the way out to page 10 in this thread.

I'll include part numbers and all... should be helpful for people doing Google searches.
