I'm trying to do the gray wire mod on my 02 tacoma. I've located the gray wire, but my configuration is different then the configuration shown on here. The configuration on here shows 5 slots on the top and bottom of the plug. However, I have 4 slots on the top and 6 slots on the bottom. Can anybody help me cut the correct wire?

    Thanks in advance!

    Look at build!
There should only be one gray wire, snip it, add extension and ground; Then your done!

I saw the gray wire, but read that said to look for the number 8 slot, based on that diagram, and it could be a different color than gray. I'll take a chance and just cut the gray wire.

If you have a gray wire then im sure thats the right one to cut, if in doubt just leave enough room on both ends of wire to hook it back up but i dont think you'll be doing that anyway

    This.

Just give it a shot, worst that can happen is it doesn't work. then you simply reconnect the grey wire
