Sunday when? I might bring my dad out as were gonna be wiring the bug instead of doing anything else.

Gonna go look at shells tomorrow. My promotion has been announced, found out tonight minimum 2 weeks of training before pay increase, and minimum of 2 weeks before I can even start training. Wtf.

Lived near Mira Mar NAS(at the time), loved it when those Tomcats took off and shook the whole neighborhood. I do miss the night time touch and gos. After it was handed over to the Marines, the Hornets just don't have the same affect. If only the Falcons from Luke could fly just a little lower over my house. :)

I spent over half my last deployment at a little fob that was always getting engaged, we had constant aircraft support. Every type of military helicopter you can think of, fighters, A10s, and even got to watch an AC130 play a couple times while circling above the fob. Ofcourse half the time we didn't know we were being hit until the mortars blew, but then we got to watch the pilots have fun. So every time I hear a helicopter or jet, it reminds me of that place. I sleep better when they are flying around at night too....

I know the feeling. Had the same things going on in my first deployment. I did sleep better when they were flying over head too. We had over 100 mortars hit our FOB on Mother's Day in 2004. Camp War Eagle.

    Hey Dave,

Based on your credentials, can you identify which exact type of painted glossy snake this is? I think there are 3 types found in AZ, correct?

    Thanks!
