good atv trails, where do you ride?

i search found nothing. (i did sop when i saw all post wear at least 2 years old) but where do you ride atvs,dirt bikes or UTV’S/side X sides?

we go to royal blue allot. it’s a WMA along I-75 about 40 min or so north of knoxville. i think we are going to go to brimstone in huntville this summer some time. not as big but hear good trails. may try windrock as well. i’m about 20 miles from windrock and royal blue. windrock is a little west of me and blue(as everyone around here calls is) is just north.

edit: here is link to a camp ground/resort like that is right off the WMA that has a trail to the WMA. if anyone goes send me a pm on when i i’ll try and come ride with you show you around a little.

 

Cmon up to my area and you won't stop riding. NH has designated trails and they are strict but the Jericho trails in Berlin rock! As for Maine, if you see a trail, ride it. Some of the trail systems are pretty extensive and you need someone to help you connect to the next one but you can ride the roads safely without issue from the Police. We usually do 60-80 miles in a day and I ride a Raptor, everyone else is on the 4x4's. Check out www.atvalliance.com.

 

ok cool. dad retires this september and we wear talking about going out of state some where. i was thinking VA/WV like hatfield mccoy. we have a ’04 rancher 350 4x4 and a ’11 rhino 700FI sport that has a warn winch and windshield as well has roof that came on it as part of sport Package.

edit: royal blue has over like 600 miles of trails. covering stuff on both side of I-75. cops don’t really care about riding on road.. they don’t really care around my house either i ride up to my friends house all the time he is 0.8 miles up the road. my neighbor has rode a few miles to their grandmothers house.

 

Nice! I'd loooooove one of those Renegade 1000's but not in the budget as of yet. Hatfield looks like a kick butt place to go. If you look up the alliance PM SpeedDemon. He's the moderator and he's from the WV area. That is the site that I met all my riding buddies and they're a great group to ride and hang with.

 

yeah. if we were to get another utv i would like the cam am commander 1000.

i like the rzr’s but don’t like how you don’t have much of a bed. when we take rhino we have all kinds of stuff in the bed. extra 5 gal of gas, cooler with food and drinks and a black box with other stuff like maybe extra gear. stuff for the winch. fire starter since are rides go in to the night allot. we know people that we could call if something happened but they at least 30 min out. it can get cold up in the mountain fast.

i would like to get new ecu/cdi and clutch sheaves for rhino and get it going 55 to 60 mph. right now it does 43 or 42mph.

 

mom wanted a mule she likes them allot from using it at work. but i talked them in to the rhino since we like the trail ride as well. mule does not take trails good. rhino has 12” of G/C VS mule 6”, mule has 2” of rear wheel travel vs rhino 7.3. rhino 43MPH VS mule 25MPH.

 

Def not a fan of the Mule's for trail riding at least. Those commanders are pretty bad ass. Me, I like my old 660 Raptor. I've done a few mods to make it as fast as the 700's but its very reliable and major fun. It does get tiring given the amount of time I spend in the air.

 

yeah i love them but damn the $$$$ but it is allot of machine so... i hate how yamaha is holding back the 700cc rhino. that think could do allot more with the right tuning. i know they use to only do 38 or 37. are now up to 42/43mph. but fill it could do at least like 50 to 55mph bone stock. the yamaha grizzly 700cc FI same motor does over 60 i think. if it was not for al the dumba$$ flipping them and suing i think it may go faster stock. i do like having the doors keep allot of stuff off of you.

 

I wish I had doors, one small 2" puddle and I'm soaked.
