dude, it's stupid easy. i just walked outside and did it (had to get something out of my truck anyway)

-open gate, lean it on your stomach/chest/forehead (depending on your height) at a 45 degree angle
-pull right side out from the above mentioned angle
-pull left side towards the right side of the truck
-marvel at the tailgate you are now holding in your hands.

You fellas are lucky enough to have it that easy. 09+ folks require also unclipping the backup camera wire harness, which is kind of a pest.

lol. or you can just unplug it and not plug it back in. :p lol. i kinda wish i had it. mostly for parking in tight garages down town. hell i backed up to are big trailer at night and was right dead on first try and i don’t have a camera. only light i had was reverse and brake. wear it is parked is out back and their is no lights at all around.

I will *never* deactivate that thing. Try one sometime. They're kind of like cell phones. And wait til you wheel with one. You'll never go back. Having a direct view of the ground immediately behind your truck is awesome.

It's just one plug, but accessing it is a pain. Much easier with needle nose pliers.

Yeah, but they're the only ones we've got. Which is why this is the first world in the first place.

If anyone is looking for a nice 4x4 1st gen there is one in my town. There appears to be no rust and it hasn't been sprayed recently because there is a fair bit of road grim on the frame, there appears to be a small leak in the t-case, needs new tires and leafs but other than that from what I can tell it's a pretty good truck for someone to get. Owner, not me, is asking 7,500.

Graduated class of '11 and I started to plays senior year but quit before regular season because baseball was more important at the time.
Edit: You probably saw me at the football games I was the one with the grill posted up in the parking lot about 2 hours pregame tailgating no matter where it was at, hell we would skip last period to get to places such as Hanhann and White Knoll, in Charleston, a few hours before the game. I played baseball under Joel Vaughn '99-'11, threw shot put and discus '04-'07, ran Cross Country '04-'11 for the Barnwell Warhorses.
