    why: cheaper, more sidewall flex for off roading, i just dont like bigger wheels.

    I said 18" because I want XD monsters..if they made 17's, I'd get those instead...for now, stock 16's on my ride...

    When I was looking at new trucks I looked at the price of BFG ATs and for every inch of larger rim the price per set of tires went up about an average of $175. If I could have gotten 15" factory rims I would have preferred to have them over my 16s.

    I have 17s and would rather have 16s. More sidewall looks better on trucks and better for offload. Do u see any of those buggies or legit rock crawling rigs with little side wall. Do what I wish, but IMHO I say less wheel more tire.

    IMO it all depends on what you're going for. For looks on a stock height Taco I like 17's for the most part. If lifted 17's or 18's look good, no bigger. For off roading I like 16's or 17's if you have enough tire with it.

    Of course as already stated, cost of the 16's is considerable. With that said, I went with 16's because I got a great deal on them.

    I am REALLY happy with the 18's on my Tacoma. Good ratio of tire:wheel and still enough tire to handle some light OR duty. I'd do it all over again in a heartbeat.

Ford 9" rear after breaking 5 sets of gears in the stock yota 8.8, 5.13 gears with a detroit hard locker, 63" chevy leafs and custom hangers, sky's front spring hanger with sky's extream hysteer and PSC hydro assist ram and PSC pump. welded front spyders in the f-550 front dana 60 with warn hubs, pico brake lines and hoses, elecrtic fan, TRD supercharger with URD 2.1 Pully, URD Map-ECU2 and cage built by me. wide band a/f by inovations, lots and lots more...........
    i think better selection of tires for the 17

    They didn't have the rim that I wanted in 16" or I would've got it. That being said, I think you have a better variety of 17" rims so I voted for 17".

    Anything bigger than that and you're starting to max out the gay meter. Leave the big rims for sports cars, they don't look good on trucks IMHO.

    I have 18s. Would rather have 16s or 17s. Wider variety of wheels and tire choices, not to mention MUCH cheaper tires and they look better. Dont get me wrong, I love my 18s. But, they are a discontinued wheel and only came in 18 and 20 so it is almost impossible to get a spare.
