    Can't remember if I went thru the boot or outside :notsure: seems like thu would be better. I know I had water running right down the wires to the floorboard in mah last truck :eek:

    It would be better to go through the grommet because then you don't have probably sharp metal rubbing on the wire casing possibly shorting out the wire but I was lazy and went through the side. No problems yet with water coming in or shorting out.

    Go through that grommet or make a new hole and put a grommet in. I've literally seen trucks go up in smoke from power wires rubbing through and shorting out
