I like to keep lighting looking as close to OEM as possible so I would go with option #1.

    What color is your truck?

    Without knowing I'd go:

3 (if you want the smoked look )
    1
    2

Long Travel plans for the future, going back to 35" tires this summer, probably mud grapplers. Putting out 218 rwhp, and 245 ft/lb of torque.
I looked all over when i was wanting to buy some, then i settled for using VHT Nightshades on my factory housings and i couldn't be happier, they turned out really dark black, but light still shows through even in day time.

Does anyone know how the smoked one are made? If the lens-smoke color will peel over time, if it's film/tint, etc? That's my concern.

I've been looking to switch up my tail lights recently and debating between both 1 and 2 that you have above. Never have been a fan of smoked lenses however want to remove the amber. I think style 1 would look good and just replace the yellow bulbs w/ a pair of invisibulbs to get rid of the egg yolk reflection; I find LED style lenses can look good a lot of the time but not sure in this instance...would love to see an installed comparison.
