That's such a sick picture.
muzzle flash from the 155, color of the chem light/ night lamps, lights coming over the hescos... Amazing.

 

Every now and then, they would let us come over and fire a few rounds. 10th Mtn was cool to us (except the commander, he hated the HET crews. He had it stuck in his mind we would do 40 through the market right outside the fob, and thought that we had our own route clearance team).

 

I can't tell in the picture, does th 4Runner have a parachute on the top?

They were noisy, but nice. The neighbors I didn't like were the ones who put holes in the tent and a hole in one of my tires. Imagine spending 2 days switching out the front axle on that truck, changing every tire out, and rebuilding the tire inflation system. Just to come out and find a flat tire with a bullet hole in it....

 

So you can't just change the tire in the truck with the inflation system like you would a normal vehicle? Gotta switch the whole axle?

 

This is my current background. I designed the installation aids and deck extension for the piece of euipment that is being installed in the picture.
