Here's mine, probably about 15k miles, too (don't have my spreadsheet handy for exact mileage). :homer:

Ultimately, where anything is made anymore is irrelevant, and discussions about it are pretty much pointless. Everything in Walmart is from China, do you even know where your oil came from, which American CEOs choose to send manufacturing jobs overseas, blah blah blah.

Buy good stuff at a fair price. I don't care what color flag flies over it.

Not sure where the confusion came in, but there will not be any free shipping on the leaf springs.

Thought I read it on an old GB post, but I'v been reading so many post about replacement leafs I got them mixed up with somthing else, my bad.

But even with the shipping I still would be in. Got to save every where I can:D

It was already said...but the Tacoma's are designed and made in the USA, in Fremont California.

Now all the current Tacomas are made in Austin Texas, along side the Tundras.

And IIRC the first gens had 65% domestic parts, and the new ones have 70% domestic parts...

not sure where you saw that your truck was made in mexico...I am pretty sure all first gens were made here...I know some years of the 2nd gens were made in mexico due to a shortage in manufacturing needs.

It should say on the inside of the drivers side door jamb. But if it doesn't I am not sure. I know my 1997 came with the dealership book that says all the original years of the Tacomas (95-97) are designed and built in the USA.

I'm gonna put my name down, but not sure if I can really wait for this thing to get moving. I was hoping to be installing by the end of the month, first of May; so if the GB isn't gaining much momentum in a week or so I'm just gonna bite the bullet and order on my own. I'l be following closely :)

hmm... I previously stated I'd probably pass on this, but now I'm having second thoughts and considering signing up.

a couple questions to give me clarity would help me decide if I could get some answers...

a 5-pack will give me 1.5" of lift on my 01 doublecab,
I already have toytec coilovers for the front waiting to go on.

    - if I were to add shackles and shims to the 5-pack,
would that give me a level 2.5"-3" lift??

    - is this a ridiculous way to go about getting the ride height that I want ?
