So I'm guessing i should look into getting a cb for Moab so i'm not left in the dark or.silence in this case while on the trails. I doubt i will use it more than once or twice a year though so i dont want to spend a whole lot on it. At the same time i dont want to.spend so.little that it wasnt worth buying. Looking at some threads I'm thinking maybe run a coax cable then get a lighter plug cb and a magnetic antenna so i can just pull it out when i dont need it. What do you think about the uniden pro510xl or the cobra 19dx4 or maybe even just a cobra handheld hh38wxst?

if i'm understanding things right you don't need the extra cables, antenna, etc. the range is greatly reduced without all the extras but if youre just trying to talk to the truck ahead of you it shouldnt be an issue. also its not a built in unit so it can get tucked away when youre not using it.

If I magically have those days off also...but that would mean I have 9 days off in a row...which I highly doubt will happen

I could maybe do Tuesday. I don't really know what my schedule will be once school is out, like whether I will be working or not. We could meet up in Tremonton, unless you want to detour through Pocatello;) What are you going down 2 days earlier for?

I see. Makes sense. Yeah as long as nothing comes up I don't see why I couldn't go down with you so you don't have to go the whole way alone.

i believe i have narrowed down the source of my belt squeak, which i think has gotten worse. this top belt that goes to the power steering pump. i put water on it like adam suggested and it would go away for a minute then come back. then i shut the the truck off and poured more water on it and it did the same thing, then i did it a third time and got the same result. i tried tightening the bolt on the tensioner, but it looks like its benting the bolt and the metal bracket it goes through in a bad way...to replace that belt means taking out the fan though huh? how much of a pain in the ass is that?

That protest ban is a joke. I can't imagine it will take very long for the judicial branch to rule it as unconstitutional...

Not sure about pulling the fan... but i would think that it tightening the belt didn't fix the squeak, then it is the pulley bearings going bad...

They are a pain in the ass to install and if you have a key with a chip or transponder in it you'll need another key to install in to the ignition module on the remote start harness to even start the car

well its going in my 98 so i dont need the transponder.

im trying to install a Viper 5101 with smart start. The problem im haing to the the H3 harness so the 12 AWG wires.

    H3/1 PINK (+) IGNITION 1 INPUT/OUTPUT = black/yellow
    H3/2 RED/WHITE (+) FUSED (30A) IGNITION 2 / FLEX RELAY INPUT 87 = black/red wire
    H3/3 ORANGE ACCESSORY OUTPUT = blue/red
H3/4 VIOLET STARTER OUTPUT = black wire
    H3/5 RED (+) FUSED (30A) IGNITION 1 INPUT = black/yellow
    H3/6 PINK/WHITE IGNITION 2 / FLEX RELAY OUTPUT 30 = black/red
H3/7 PINK/BLACK FLEX RELAY INPUT 87A key side (if required) of FLEX RELAY
    H3/8 RED/BLACK (+) FUSED (30A) ACCESSORY/STARTER INPUT

So really what im asking is what do I do with the H3/7,/8 wires. and what the hell is the flex relay?
I read some where that I should just tap the 3 fused wires together and put then on a constant 12V.
