99 won't start

My sister has a 99 4runner and just called and said it won't start. The past couple weeks it's turns over longer than it should before it cranks. I'm headin to go see what's goin on now. Any help would be great

Starter, Batter, MAF Sensor, Fuel Pump. you got any more info?

 

If it's been turning over a lot before it starts it's probably the fuel pump. As long as the battery is good and it's turning over fast enough. The pumps get weak and this is how they go out. You're NOT gonna hear this pump prime like almost every other car in the world. It doesn't get power until the starting circuit is closed. The pump is right under the rear driver's side seat. They're kind of expensive too.

Your choice of words here is a bit confusing. 'turns over' and 'cranks' sometimes mean different things to different people.

When the starter motor engages the flywheel causing the motor to rotate, this is what I call 'cranking'. Then it cranks until the motor fires up. Are you saying that there is a delay from when she turns the key and the starter cranks the motor? If so, then this is a problem with the starter.

If the starter 'cranks' for a long time, but the motor never fires up, then you have a fuel or ignition or electrical problem.
