Who is the best vendor to purchase Michelin LTX M/S2 265/70r16 tires from? I am not necessarliy looking for the cheapest but a good company to buy these tires from. I have honestly never owned a vehicle long enough to have to replace the factory tires so this is all new to me. It seems that everyone from Wal-Mart to Tire Rack carries these but I have never dealt with any tire companies. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

I always use Discount Tire for everything tire related. I've been very happy with them.

I used Sam's Club a lot (the one on hanes mall blvd), always has good prices and good service. And they actually torque your wheels

I used Discount for my Hankook's a couple of months ago, they matched Amazon's online price which was the cheapest I could find. Great service too.

Use Discount Tire, those guys are the pros. They will match Tire Rack's pricing. I wouldn't let anyone from Walmart, Sam's Club, or Costco come within 10ft. of my truck.

This. Never again after my father went and had new tires installed, 1996 Chevy Silverado, and they forgot to tighten the lug nuts on one tire and it almost fell off. Luckily he realized something was wrong before pulling out into traffic or it could have been much worse than the guys bringing a jack out, and tools out to the end of the parking lot to tighten everything down. They paid back all labor charges but still will never let anyone other than a dedicated tire shop do my wheels.

What would be the charge to install them at my local Discount Tire if I got them from Discount Tire Direct?

You can go to any of our stores or certified installers to have them installed. They price for mount and balance is $19.99 per tire.

Here is a list of all of our installers.

WOW!!! Doesn't really save to buy them from Discount Tire Direct than in the store and pay the taxes. Thanks for the info. I am about 3-5 weeks out from purchasing and will get them from my local Discount Tire.
