Damn toyota seat.

Hi, well i hate toyota seat.... thats the same thing in my tacoma 2008 and my matrix 2009. The seat got stained by water after its dry... $%^&$%^$%^$
A guy told me to try a silicone spray, they use that on couch anti-stained treament(hell yeah they charge you 100 bucks for that haaha the truth is now revealed), its acting like a wax.

Anyone have a solution? I dont want to buy seat covers.

Last steam wash on my seat was made 3 weeks ago, still smell fresh and clean excepting some water spot..

 

I didn't know water could stain.

 

Apparently just about anything will stain toyota seats now..water dosent stain per say, but leaves water marks

 

Yup, difficult to spot clean anything on these seats - water spots. I just threw a pair of seat covers on and forgot about it. Maybe the OP could try a Scotchguard treatment or similar?

My whole interior was sprayed. Seats, carpet, headliner, doors, dash, everything. The instructions were if I got a stain, they will come out and clean it. If they cannot get it out, they will pay to have it reupholstered.

 

That is part of the reason that Scotchguard is so expensive.

But it is far more than just OTC auto parts store silicone spray.

 

I don't think mine was scotchguard. My truck was sent out and they had to keep it for three hours.

 

Whats the cost of scotchguard treatment?

Ill try a can of Scotchguard, found it at canadian tire !! For 12$ Its worth a try!!!

 

This is an easy one............... and this stuff works great it's called Spot shot. It's gotten rid of quite a few water stains in my truck.

 

I have a Detail business and the only way I have found to get the water stains out of the seat is to do the following:

1. Remove all debris from the eat.
2. Use a good foaming cleaner on any stains other than the water stains.
3. Saturate the entire seat area.
4. Use a clean cloth and rub over the seat uniformlyt.
5. Let the seat air dry.

Basically this is staining the entire seat to match the water stain. The color of the seat may become just a tad darker of any at all.

NOTE: DO NOT FORCE DRY THE SEAT. THIS WILL ENCOURAGE THE STAIN TO SHOW AGAIN.
