nah my lab was really subdued for a day or so then he was going crazy running around like usual. I think i caught him licking the stitches once and a quick "NO" and he stopped and never tried again. Mostly all he did was sleep for a day and look at me with sad eyes. He had it done at about a year.

 It's instead of one of those big plastic cones that keep them from licking the stiches. It's also easier on the my knees, walls, and any breakables within his reach.... lol
Yeah it actually didn't work very well so I went back and returned it for a regular plastic one.... ah well. and yeah, he's not making me feel TOO guilty. maybe a little bit though.... :(

My old dog "Jake" had to have ACL surgery and about a year after had to have the same surgery on the other hind leg. So yes, we had to have both done for him. Jake lived to be 14 years old and I think he had the surgeries when he was about 6 and 7.

The first is a picture of Jake after his surgeries. The second is our new rescue Luke.
