    Hello-
Note: did use search function 3 times

Does anyone know ther laws regarding spacers on trucks?
I am working on getting biggers wheels and a levelling kit thru a great guy up in PA- problem is he tells me that the limit for spacers for inspection UP THERE is 1/4" inch...I need at least 1/2" and I assured him- prematurely perhaps that I would either be fine with a spacer that was at least 1/2" or at a minimum find a "friendly" garage...

    Any advice?

Do you need physically a 1/2" spacer or just 1/2" of lift? A 1/4" spacer should give 1/2" of lift i think.

Host a mod day and DIY? :notsure:
Also I've read that different states have different requirements. Like for example the rear bumper can't be more than x inches from the ground. I'll look around and see if I can find anything but I remember people asking specifics for states previously.

    Interesting.....

Thus far the issue is not (as far as I know) about the height of the ride it is the lenght of the spidertrax style spacers that will push the tire out to get it clear of teh UCA....

I am putting on 285/70/17's and the guy is working diligently to try to get clearance for me...he tried 1/4" spacers but didnt work quite enough so will have to try 1/2" by doubling them up....which is why he was like well up here you would automatically fail...

Oh were you talking about wheel spacers? I thought you were talking about spacer lifts...
I know people, including myself, who have ran spidertrax wheel spacers in VA. I don't have them anymore, but I was never flagged during state inspections.

you'll be fine with wheel spacers. I've had my inspections done at Ourisman Chantilly Toyota and they never even mentioned the spidertrax when I had them. Funny thing is now that I've got new wheels I don't have TPMS so the light stays on constant. They don't mention that either.

tire pressure monitoring system. There are sensors in the wheels that measure the tire pressure. When the pressure drops below a set pressure, the light on the dash turns on to alert the driver of low pressure.
Edit: and since my sensors are no longer there, the computer in the truck thinks I have 0 PSI in my tires.

My dealer did my service, Put on my new tires, installed 1.25 spider track spacer and did my state inspection all at the same time!
