That one's been posted before...somebody on here who's an EMT/paramedic said that they'd had a similar encounter. IIRC they said it was terrible...dude lost his leg too.

Oh I've smelt rotting flesh before. That shit doesn't work its way out of the back of your throat for hours. *Gag*

It's so bad you can actually taste it.

I'm surprised you're not moving to Drumheller to be with the rest of the Dinosaurs.

Cochrane. Nice town/city. Amazing view from the top of the hill. If you've been you know what I'm talking about. Fantastic Fire/EMS hall. Thing is massive.

Pedal bike? Motor Bike? You're getting a crotch rocket aren't you?

I'd kill a man for a Triumph Rocket III, but I need to pay off my bills and the truck first. (Only 13G left on the old girl!) Plus I keep buying shit for the truck too, but I've kinda got her build up the way I want her so the spending is nearing a decline.

    But if I got a bike, I'd realistically get a Vulcan or a V-Star.

If I had money without going ridiculous like the Rocket III...the V-Max all the way.

    Rocket III hard on:

Triumph Rocket III's are sexy bikes according to a quick google :D

I getting a Yamaha R-1 (1000cc), going to do a build on it, I need that bike due to the longer frame. Down to 7k left on the taco, hoping to clear the rest before I move. Lookin at maybe a house on the mid west end of town, near Sarcee or glenmore. Straight highway shot to work and close to mountains.

You sir need to find a track and learn how to ride that R1 on the track. You will be 10x the rider because of it and it may save your life on the street. Just remember, you don't have a cage and airbags to save your life on the bike. I've seen crazy guys like you get on a bike and do some very stupid things. They are lucky to be alive.

Agreed, but I'm far from a novice rider too. I grew up riding my dad's old suzuki 250, it was a street/dirt bike cross over. I myself owned a Yami 650 for 2.5 years before I sold it. I think I'm ready for a 1000, I'll ride it a season to gain experience before I start the build.

If I was 18, yea I'd probably get myself killed. But I know better now.. I think.

It's expensive on that side of town FYI. And if for whatever reason you need to get into Calgary it's a complete bitch in rushhour. Everyone from Bragg Creek comes in that way.

Cochrane's good. Not too hickish like say Highriver.

Had an Ex who lived just outside of there.

A build on a bike? Dare I ask?

    Mmm...V-Max goodness.

Is it bad that I have zero riding experience yet extremely good taste in bikes?

    MJP2 has a Rocket III.

It's really hard to resist turning that right wrist and doing triple digits in 4 seconds. I still struggle with it, on the track of course. :D

    :woot:

    One day...one day.

It's on my to do list. And the older I am when I get it, probably the better. I know people say you tend to mellow out when you get older and become less aggressive.

If my driving style is any indication currently, by the time I'm 35-40 my daily commute will resemble the last 20 minutes of Bullitt.

    Or maybe The Road Warrior.
