Back in the 80's the white "trailer wheels" were really popular. I like it, but you might get haters if you do it now.
Not my truck, just a google pick:

Thanks Boerseun... My factory wheels are pitted and starting to look bad and I've been contemplating about what to do... Get new after-market wheels, or have these wheels repaired, re-sprayed back to factory new look. I think white color wheels would look good on my white Tacoma... I hope someone has the setup and pictures to show..
BTW... I love the two tone color setup on your truck...

I really like the white steel wheels on the right truck. Definitely a "retro" look. I had them on my old '85. Loved the look.

Disregard the sweet late '90s fashions! :)

Have you ever owned a truck that wasn't fucking awesome?? You need to make a thread w/ all your rigs from the past to current.

And who is the lady :spy: :D

Haha. You know how it is, it's a sickness. I like building them and putting them to the test. Pretty sure there is a post somewhere that shows all my old trucks. I'll look around.

The lady is my wife. That pic is 11 years ago. We're celebrating our 16th anniversary this May. She rocks!

Do it! I almost wish my truck was white just so I could paint the wheels white to match lol. I have yet to see a 1st gen do it but here is a sweet 2nd gen that pulls it off very nicely. I say give it a try. Worst case you repaint them a different color.

This RAM stopped next to me at a traffic light today and reminded me of this thread. The truck is all white-out - white grill, bumpers, fender flares, wheels. Looked really good. I like these white wheels (XDs)

I'm also thinking about going white. Black rim/tires cool cool, but everyone's doing it. White rims on the other hand. Not all that common.

Saw a white Honda Ridgeline with white color after market rims in Toronto a few months ago... Looked awesome. Couldn't tell the brand name of the wheels but they looked like jet turbine... Would love to get a set for my 2003 Tacoma..... Other than custom painting, anyone have any idea where one can find white rims for our trucks? I've been searching the net for months.

I would definitely be interested in white steelies. Hard to find in a 16" or 17" for the 6 lug pattern though.

just get any set of rims you like and powder coat them white, you can get a great deal on a rough set of rims since your getting them powder coated anyway.

powder coat is way way better then paint for long term good looks and resisting scratches and rock chips but enamel is easy to touch up so hard to go wrong either way
