    One day...one day.

It's on my to do list. And the older I am when I get it, probably the better. I know people say you tend to mellow out when you get older and become less aggressive.

If my driving style is any indication currently, by the time I'm 35-40 my daily commute will resemble the last 20 minutes of Bullitt.

    Or maybe The Road Warrior.

I've heard around 310k for a nice house?? And thats why I'll have the bike, to deal with traffic. Besides, nothing there could possibly be as bad as our rush hours here. Worst comes to worst, I'll have the hovercraft in a few years.

LOL Ash is from HR.. She took me out there and Big rock when I was there 2 weeks ago.

Yup, big bore, might supercharge it, whole 9 yards, shits gonna be awesome when I'm done.

Nope, Not hard to recognize sexy when you see it.
What kind of bike do you have? or are you refering to the Taco? One day, You'll have to go for a ride in mine. When I finish current upgrades, I should be around 340-350 hp to the wheels.
Hey, I could've gotten something stupid in Vegas, this one kicks ass. Worst comes to worst, if anything, it'll make my corpse easier to identify.

Suzuki TL1000s - Runs about 112 Hp and 73 lb/ft of torque. Front wheel lifts in first gear just rolling on the throttle.

Impressive, I'm still debating getting a Sport touring bike versus a straight Sport bike. I do like to travel.

How far can you go on a tank of gas?

just cruising on the highway, about 150 miles. It's a 4 gallon tank. Most sport bikes are around the same size. Mine is a thirsty v-twin. The i-4's may get a little bit better gas mileage, But you will be under 200 miles on a tank. You won't like long distances on the R1. You might want to raise up the handle bars and get a corbin seat, but that will only get you so far before your ass, knees and ankles want to kill you.

150 x 1.62 = 243 Km's.. hmmm. Not too bad, It'd be enough to get me gas station hopping from major cities. Wouldn't be able to make the 500km jaunt from Ed to Fort McCrack though.

and take off 35% for.. throttle usage. 243 = Only 158 km's. Though with all the performance mods I'll gain a few extra mpg's.

Going from a 650 "street" bike to a 1000 is a HUGE step up. Even if you were confident on that 650, you aren't ready for a 1000 imo. Start out with a 600 such as a R6 or cbr. Even going from a 650 to that is a major improvement and a big step up in power.

I've driven a few 600 GSXR's before, so I know the difference between them and my 650. Wasn't too to much.

I owned a Yamaha XS500G when I was 18 or so..sold it and didn't own a bike for 19 years. Rode maybe 3 times in that period and bought this :

    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=147085&stc=1&d=1334357320

I've put 10,000 miles on it with no issues, most of that riding with friends on weekends doing 300-500 mile daytrips.

This bike is an exercise in self restraint. The faster you go the faster it wants to go and it is completely composed at 140mph ( still has almost 50mph left at that point ). My best advice ?

Respect it,as it WILL NOT forgive or suffer foolish control inputs.

My other opinion is that you'll not need to supercharge it or make a whole bunch of performance mods. A bike like this will barely ever be ridden to it's potential anywhere but a track. And even then most people don't have the skill such riding would require.

My bad for the thread jack...back to WTF's !
