I placed an order for a bumper on march 19th through tactical armor group and was told the bumper would take three weeks to build, I thought ok fair enough..... So two days ago I called to find out the status of my bumper the person I spoke to said they would take my information and call me back. They never called back, so I called them again today and was told my bumper production had not yet begun. I told him I was a little steamed because I was told it would be three weeks at that point the rep. Became belligerent and told me that I was never told that. I told him to cancel my order and to have a nice day.

C/N: tactical armor group has piss poor customer service.

They don't collect payment until the product is complete. Dodged a bullet there.

The rep was a complete asshole on the phone. Burns me up when someone calls you a liar ya'know.

ARB. I see you're in the PNW. Order it online and pick it up from ARB in Renton to save shipping!

Eric makes really nice products, hand crafted here in the US. If you don't mind his lead time, I'd go Relentless.

I have an ARB bumper and I really like it as well. Theres also a whole bumper thread stickied in the 2nd gen forum.

I've really grown tired of being treated like an idiot when it comes to putting my money down on something. Company employees and owners (some) just don't get that the customer's are paying their salary. No customers, no business, no paycheck...its really simple. How many of you have waited in line to drop some cash on something only to get a butt-load of tude from an employee or owner?

Amen brother! I was willing to give them $1000 and wait a month. Not anymore.

I really wish Warn industries made a bumper for 2nd gen tacomas. I had one on my jeep Cherokee and loved it.

Customer service has generally gotten worse as time goes on. You'd think in this economy, or any time really, that companies would get it but they don't. Too many just plain don't seem to care but there are many out there that do.

Full disclosure: I'm a customer service manager for a government contractor. Bottom line, we have standards to meet every month and if we don't, we can have our contract pulled. However, the incentive is really the same as any private business: I NEED MY JOB.

I bought a front and rear bumper from Billy here. Should get it in a couple weeks or so. He's pretty busy right now but send him a PM and see what his prices are and lead time. I've heard his work is pretty damn good and he can work with you if you want to customize.
