Just wondering if anyone can tell me if there are Pre-outs on the CANADIAN factory TRD stereo. The factory stereo has horrible bass output and i have a couple of 10" subs with an amp sitting in the basement that i was considering fitting behind the rear seat. I would have to build a custom box to fit one behind the seat but it looks like there should be enough room.

Has anyone upgraded the speakers in their 2012 yet ?

Inside my new access cab, I have found the stereo to be of fairly decent quality for a stock vehicle. Won't win any awards but not the complete garbage you usually get. Then again, I am coming from a tall and boxy Subaru Forester, where the sound quality and acoustics sucked, even with a premium stereo, amp, and subwoofer.

You can always use a line out converter to keep your factory head and add pre-outs.

I am new to the whole line converter thing. I did a quick search and found a few...is there any one that you would suggest over others??
Also how does the install go...do you need to re-wire the existing speakers ?

Any help would be great...pictures are even better :D

Use a PAC line out converter the SNi I think I got mine off Amazon for pretty cheap.. I tapped it into the rear left speaker wires behind the stereo, also tappe the remote wire(amp signal turn on) into the grey wire behind the stereo. I can't remember the color of the speaker wires though... If you can verify what stereo you have and it's the same one I have I'll pull my stereo out and send pics of where I tapped for yah
