Truck rides great after spring TSB

Just picked up the truck and I'm very happy with the way the new rear springs handles bumps and dips.Seems it has a much more well controlled,solid,smooth feel over bumps and such over the 3 leaf..
The rear seems up a bit and should settle.
Can 5100s replacing the stock Bilsteins make the ride even better?
If so,how?

I was worried that the rear would be too bouncy with the 4 leafs.
You guys say the Billies would make the rear ride even better...
Looks like I'll be getting the Billies.

I was suprised how well mine road as well after the TSB. feels a little more firm, but not close to stiff. I got 1/2" increase in back.

 

Settled at half inch higher.

I am looking to get the rear tsb done too but I am out of warranty..
Should I just get AALs in the rear?

 

Are you trying to lift....or just replace those rear springs??

 

I plan to lift the truck 3 inches.

 

You can get a Pre-TSB AAL from Toytec that'll get you towards 3 inches. You can also talk to Wheelers offroad and get a single Leaf or three leaf AAL.
Complete replacement springs are also an option.

I have a stock 05 DC with original shocks and springs which I bought used last November, so I'm way past getting the TSB for free (I'm at 50K miles). Dumb question, what does AAL stand for? I've noticed very poor load capability with this truck, which is my first Tocama. Will a AAL help?

AAL is Add A Leaf. It's an extra leaf for the rear spring pack to allow some lift...and It might help your ride with load capacity(I'm not really sure).

I have a couple of questions if you don't mind. When I'm going down the interstate at 65 or 70 and hit a dip it feels like the back axle is bottoming out. Will this leaf spring TBS correct that? My wife likes the ride, says it rides like a car. We take trips from NJ to Baltimore often in my Taco. Will this TBS stiffen the ride and make it more like a truck so she will give me a hard time about it or will it sill be comfortable for her. Thanks for your help and experience.

 

I can't answer your dip question with certainty but I believe you would do better with the TSB.I have a DC if that makes a difference with it's 14.5 " longer wheelbase...I don't know.
