OK, so the truck came out of the shop today. 6 inch Fabtech installed. Looks a little funny right now with my 285/60/18 tires. I am hopefully going to be swapping these for 285/70/18's (a 34 inch tire) pretty soon. But, the lift itself is awesome. I got the one with the Dirt Logic coilovers and all.

Looks good. New tires will definitely top it off.

    I like your fenders too!

Yup 2wd. This is actually my dad's truck now, I sold it to him so I could get a 4wd FJ cruiser, as I really had always wanted 4x4. BUT, he has done a lot to it since he took it over. I would say it is pretty badass for a 2wd. We had thought of doing like Camburg spindles in the front or something, but in the end he wanted the whole 6 inches and liked keeping this complete kit. He doesn't go anywhere where the drop bracket will cause clearance issues.

The rdie is great, I took it up to 80 mph on the Interstate when I "borrowed" the truck last week haha. It actaully rides basically the same as the day I bought it totally stock. The Dirt Logics are the massive 2.5 inch body kind, they are really a huge improvement over the factory coilovers.

Biggers tires will soon be on the way. We actaully decided to go down to a 17 inch rim, so that we can get wheels that are a little less wide and with a better offset. The new Fabtech spindles pushed out the track width a little and with the extreme offset on these wheels, the turning radius is pretty huge right now. Looking at tire/wheel packages on the net, but think we will go with 285/75/17 KM2's, a near 34 inch tire.

    Lots.
Why did you choose the DB lift instead of just running lift spindles?

I had thought about doing custom 6 inch leaf packs in the rear, and spindles up front with new coilovers set for 2 inches of lift, in order to get 6 inches overall. BUT, there were several parts you need after that (brake lines, brackets, a few other things), which I would have to get. I totalled it all up and it was going to actually cost more than the Fabtech DB kit. Our local shop was also a Fabtech dealer and gave my dad a discount on the kit because he had his ARB bumper installed by them a few weeks before the lift.

I think my dad didn't necessarily understand the mechanics of the DB lift vs the Spindles lift. I tried explaining how the Fabtech kit also used spindles, but had the drop bracking in the design for 4WD vehicles. In the end, he wanted there to be "One Kit" that included everything to get the big lift, and wanted the local place to put it on. So I didn't fight him on it too much, lol. Plus, it is a 2wd truck. Not going to go many places that the drop bracket will get in the way.

Lift looks good but you definitely need bigger tires. Great pics though, now I know I'll need wheels ready when I lift mine
