Correct Under Sink Plumbing?

Short story, My garbage disposal is going bad, so im going to replace it. I'm having the problem now everytime i turn on the disposal, crap comes up in the other bowl of the sink.

Whats the correct way to plumb a disposal under a sink.

Just add a disposal on the left side. I'll try and get a pic tonight.

 

Not sure if this is the correct way but if I were to add a disposal, I'd make the trap straight under the disposal and the other sink bowl T in below the disposal. Otherwise, The T you have in the center should have something in the middle to direct the water down to the trap so water can't easily pass through the T and come up the other bowl.

EDIT I forgot how a disposal works they go out the side, not the bottom, so this no workie.

Hey OP, I was mistaken. The first pic I posted was similar to what I had in my first house. My current house is set up with a trap off the garbage disposal which goes to a T before the drain. The sink side then has a trap that connects to the other side of the T. It doesn't back up quite as bad.

This makes sense having a 90 attached to the disposal then going over to the straight pipe going down to the trap. Wonder if that "T" is a straight "T" or a directional "T"?

 

Dude, if this is your sink, you need to get the drain hose from the dishwasher higher otherwise the dirty water, food, etc from he disposal can go in the hose.

 

Thats a 1st. I have never seen a 4'' line brought up under a sink like that b4?

 

What you are looking for is a continious waste. This will connect the disposal to the p-trap for the waste to go down

 

If it is backing up its most likely due to your drain being plugged. As a plumber that would be the first thing I'd check. You'll most likely find that to be the problem.
