Anyone have any experience or knowledge on this (or product like it) they are the "helper springs" like an add a leaf for the leaf springs. I am going to be towing 2500-3000 pounds and looking to do something like this (with in budget) to help with the load (be able to handle the tongue weight better). The tow is going to be 900 miles. here is the link: http://www.truckspring.com/products/Hellwig-EZ-990-Medium-Duty-Helper-Spring__HW981.aspx

    thanks

I have not had any thing like this. Just wondering why this and not a weight distribution system on the tongue of trailer?

Looks like the Add a leaf--
    same principal--
What will your "tongue weight" be?
Good vendors here--they have discount codes.
Think I payed $80 for the AAL.
From the pic-It appears that you can adjust the Height with the U bolts.
AAL did not have that option.

In my opinion- it WILL help the stiffness in the rear-Less BOUNCE.
The thing I like about the one you posted--IT LOOKS adjustable-I would call the co. and ask.
My truck was too BOUNCY before the AAL install. With NO LOAD!
Drove like a car--Did not want that.
After the install--the ride is more like a truck--STILL PRETTY SMOOTH and a good ride.
Live in a hilly and curvy road area-needed the added stiffness.
Haul wood in the spring--used the old truck previously--have not used te 03 yet--It has a BUNCH more power.
