Can't speak to the Kenwood, but I just installed the B8pt last week. I really like it, adds that nice low end, but certainly not "booming". I grew out of my booming phase a few rigs ago lol. I was able to stash it under the passenger seat after rotating the support bar 90 degrees.

Is it similar to a 10 Inch sounding sub? I play alot of rap music. I know i could buy a mr marvs box and buy a sub and amp but its just way too much for me.... Im thinking Ordinance 8 since everyone is running them.... I just wish i knew someone with one.

I just put the B8-pt in a couple days ago and I really like it as well. I put mine under the drivers seat. It seems to excel with rock/alternative type music, especially songs with kick drums. It will vibrate the rear and sideview mirrors if thats any indicator for you. Rap songs sound good, you just don't get that booming bass like that of big, amped subs. The gain remote is a really nice feature to add or take away bass quikly from song to song. For the money and size, it's pretty impressive.

x3! I've had my B-8PT for several months and remain very happy with it. (In my 1st Gen, it fits nicely under the driver's seat.)

I doubt you'll be completely satisfied if you're into rap. I like my SO 8" sub a lot, and I think it's the easiest way to get decent bass while keeping it tucked out of sight, but I find myself wanting a little more even with some stuff like the Chemical Bros.

You won't regret the purchase probably, but it'll leave you wanting more. It doesn't hit super hard. But for us truckies with no trunk, it's a good compromise.

Good call. I replaced my fronts with some Alpine 6x9s and that helped too.

That's a good deal. The kit is nice - it would be at least $30 in a retail store. The sale is what made me push the button on mine.

Cool. Let us know what amp you go with and how it sounds! I was playing with my setup yesterday since i had to disconnect the battery to run lights. Turns out I had the crossovers set way too high on the 6x9 alpines. They produce decent bass down lower than I thought. My setup sounds a lot better now.
