So the plastic clip with the threads broke? Im assuming you mean to buy a nut to keep the flaps in place.

Do you still have your old bolts from your oem mudflaps? Check to see if the threads are different at all.

Yeah I put the screw through a few times because I didn't see at first that some of the short spacers were slightly different and worked better if I switched them front to back and I think what happened is the screw sunk through enough of the little plastic cone shaped deal on the backside that were just for the old flaps and so now that the screws are sunk into a free spinning piece of plastic on the backside I'm having a hard time getting the front one out because I have to access to the back. The rear I just clamped my gerber onto the piece of plastic and was able to set the screw correctly, the front that isn't possible.

I'm pretty sire this is just my error for putting them on a few times to test different spacers and just a warning to future people who purchase and install, don't be a dumb dumb like me and sink a screw into the back piece then break it off with all the twisting.

Great product, installer error on my side. . .

    Bump,

Would any one be interested in a rivet on mudflap extension for stock mudflaps trimmed or stock length?

Awesome. These should work great with my 285's. The stock flaps on the rear look tiny with these larger tires! LOL. I will post pics after the install.

    Cheers.

Same thing just happened to me. Before the bolt was tight, the black plastic plug began to spin and then, when I tried to remove it, the plastic kept spinning. I had to push down on the bolt to stop the plastic from spinning and now it's all fucked up! I'll mess with it and I'm sure I'll figure something out. PITA though. :D
