97 models are best definitely, then 01-04. I hate the 2000 model grille, even though thats the one I have lol. I got a grille guar to cover it up.

I'm surprised at the lack of love for the originals. I love my 97's look, don't really like the later models much.

01-04 for the win! the body lines match with the front end better imo.

The 95-97 are the meanest and best looking. I agree.

All of those who voted 98-00 or 01-04 clearly lack taste

To be fair, I would definitely argue that the majority of people in the world lack intelligence and taste. Not that I think those numbers are represented here, of course! :)

Mine is a 2002, but I like the 95 - 97 more. The lights and grill look tough enough for a truck. The 01 - 04 is more streamline and I like it, but it is a little less truck-like than the 95 - 97. The 98 - 00 lights are too big. The 05 - 12 is ugly.

Thats pretty much how I feel.

I have the 95-97 and love how the front end looks... reminiscent of the tough look of the pre-tacoma pickups. But I actually like the 01-04 front ends more because they are more modern looking...but at the same time they look less like a tough truck.

idk. i like the power i have a bit to much at times. and my bed will never rust! and my frame is less likely to rust as well. :p if i was to trade it would be for a Speed way blue taco or FJ cruiser.

    Yes, I sold my '13 Taco. :'(
For me, it's a tie between the 95-97 & the 01-04 front ends. Both look great completely stock or altered. There's something about the 98-00 front ends that make them look watered down somewhat IMO.

Off topic, I never really liked ANY 2nd gen front end..........until the '12 came out. Man, what a mean looking front end on those!

    Here is my personal 95.5:
