Yes another tire question (I did the search).

Im getting the hardware to complete my 3" lift but Im not quite sure I want to install before I can get new tires and/or rims. Im currenly running 265/70 BFG AT's which are looking just a bit small with my current 1.5" lift.

Should I wait for bigger tires or will it not be that bad? I dont have the money for new rims/tires and my current tires are still pretty new.

my 3" lift with 265/70/17. i would go with 33s next time around, but it bought this size before the lift. it doesn't look bad at all, but i'm sure 285s would look meaner.

Nice ^. Did you have any issues withy our carrier bearing or CV axels when you lifted? I might keep it at 2.5" up front and 3" in the back...

I got a 3" lift on my taco with it at 2.5" up front and 3" rear. Also my tires are still 265 they still look good. I haven't had any problems with the CV axel or bearings. I was told when i got my lift installed that you don't start seeing wear and tear til you start getting into the 6" lifts they have been right so far after 50k miles I've put on it since then.

Good to go. Right now my CV axels are almost straight, my UCA is angled up slightly, and I have about 1 1/4" lift up front. I dont think another 1.75" will hurt but we'll see...

3" with 265/70/16's The 285/75/16's will be here tomorrow. Tire place ordered 265's and told me I was getting 275's. I reconfirmed 275's and he said yes. Got them on saturday and got to the house and said uhhh no. Talked to them this morning and they did the right thing and ordered me a set of 285's with me just having to pay the difference in tire price only cause they screwed up.

this is how it looks with my eibachs and bilstein set at 0. the inner boot started leaking slightly after a few days. i wiped it down clean and added a hose clamp to tighten it down and it hasn't leak since. between the oem boot clamp and my hose clamp, i added a foam cushion so my hose clamp wouldn't cut in the the rubber boot over time.

    vintaco014_55a34980ab68112d3706aef449a03d87daea26d7.jpg

btw, this pic was taken before i added the extra clamp.
