Have any of you 2.7l single cabs tried different intakes in your truck? I have an aFe and I think I want to go back to stock but I'll see what thoughts you have first.

Stock intake is more than adequate for the 2.7.
It draws from the same fender opening as the 4.0, and the 2.7 is not going to draw more air than the 4.0

Has anyone changed their header? For $400 it better do something!

I'm installing mine today. I also have a volant intake, ive done alot of work to my truck in a short amount of time, so its hard to tell how much difference it really makes.

I put my header on last night and what a difference. I know some people have said it didn't do much. With 4.88's and 33's, it made a huge difference in acceleration from a stop and going up hills I don't have to downshift anymore. The torque is there. It has more power then my 04 Frontier 3.3l V6 truck.

Call chase at ECGS, I'm sure he's got a TON of 4.10 gears sitting around cheap that he's swapped out for customers.

For the full effect you need to add the URD MAF calibrator to complement the intake/hdr/muffler combo. I have the LCE hdr on now. It is noticeable but not too impressive change for RC trucks IMO. A K&N intake with aFe pro dry s filter & Magnaflow street series muffler from my car with 2.25 inlet is waiting for the URD MAF calibrator to be had before throwin those on. It's so purty you'll want the header anyway............gotta start somewhere. I grabbed one up in the FS section here. Lucked out............
