    While cardio is important, the fat is going to melt off your body if you lift heavy more, think about it, lean muscle burns fat, your heart is one of the smaller muscles in your body, hit it hard with weights 4-5 days a week, do cardio once a week, and of course change your diet, eat clean - high protein, good fats, low GOOD carbs, that fat will melt off your body.

    Just wanted to show the power of proper nutrition. Over the winter I started a classic muscle building diet. You know every three hours eating some eggs, bananas, chicken, tuna, brown rice. I must say it really worked wonders. I was around 180lbs last summer and now am at 190 but my body fat is much lower. I dont take any crazy supplements just your typical multi vitamin, amino complex, and protein powders. Just wanted to show my results for motivation if anyone wants to try a true bodybuilding diet. I couldn't be happier with my gains but all this food is hard on the wallet!

    This is approximately eight months ago (Had a hurricane on LI and was worried the tacoma would get flooded, thats why its on blocks for any who are wondering :D)

    Would that protein hurt a lactose intolerant person's stomach?

    I looked at the ingredients and it says it contains milk, but I'm not sure

    Wake up - 1 scoop whey protein and banana
    Aprox 1 hr later (0900) - 1 whole egg 4 egg whites 1/2 cup of oatmeal, multi vitamin, and 1/2 dose of amino acids (Both are Gaspari)
    1200 - Chicken (8 oz or so) with 1/2 cup brown rice
    1500 - Cento Tuna (the Italian one in the yellow can) with farro/quinoa and light feta cheese
    1600- 1.5 scoop Evogen EVP
    1630- I like to drink some aminos (Evogen Cell KEM) while i work out
    1730- 1 scoop whey protein
    1800- More Chicken and brown rice
    2100- Greek yogurt and maybe a few egg whites
    2400- Bed time! I take a blended protein before bed

    I dont really know the hard numbers, I usually just kinda wing it but I know my protein intake is around 200 - 250 grams, and I would like to think my carbs are under 200 grams but I never counted them :rolleyes:

    And I never tried using any apps but I love the workouts on bodybuilding.com. I mentioned it awhile back but I love the powerbodybuilding program by Mike O'Hearn

    a buddy of mine worksout hard, he is pretty big now. but he barely eats anything, i dont see how some of yall do it. i can eat stupid amounts of food, and since ive been tryin to keep carb intake low im always freakin starving lol

    Crossfit again today...sore as shit.

    Friday, for time: 10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1 of 225lb dead lift, 185lb bench and 145lb clean, rest day Saturday, lame academy workout Sunday.

    Today, for time: 10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1 of chest to bar pull ups, 30in box jump, GHD sit ups. 11 minutes.

    Anyone wishing to test their endurance may be interested in a Crossfit workout. You won't get big, but you'll be pushed to the limits of your physical capabilities.

    **I am not pushing Crossfit as the end all be all of fitness, it only works for some people. **

    Carbs are good for your body so long as it isn't in excess. I've never been able to eat a huge amount of food in one sitting I've always been the guy that has a box when leaving a restaurant but then I'm hungry 2 hours later. Right now my diet is lean meat like chicken breast, pork tenderloin, top round steak for my red meat fix. Sweet potato, oats, rice, or pasta for carbs. Carrots, broccoli, and other vegs for nutrients.

    Personally I'd rather be strong than big.
