    I don't pay state taxes either. I am an Oregon resident living in Kansas. Oregon doesn't tax me unless I spend more than 30 days a year in the state. And, even if I spend 1 day of a month in a combat zone I get the whole month tax free. I love/hate the military. If I was any other jet, any other job I wouldn't spend nearly as much time overseas as I do now though.

    I work on the KC-135. Aerial Refueler. We are ALWAYS deployed or on the road. We both pass gas AND haul cargo and people. Since we look the most like a normal airplane we get the most trips. When I get back from leave I don't plan on being home more than every other week.

    Well, I don't feel like living in Texas. Horrible state ;). I prefer the west coast. And, if I don't get my job on the west coast, I will put in for a job in NC teaching my job to jarheads.

    I didn't enjoy my 7 months down there for basic and tech school. And every time I go down there for something... it doesn't work out. My SF Giants lost to the rangers the game I went to. Oregon lost to lsu the game I went to. I got hit by a huge storm another time at the beach...

    I'll stick away unless I have to go to Wichita Falls to get out of Kansas...
