Wheel spacers

Would hub centric 1.5 inch wheel spacers be okay to run on my American racing wheels and my 33inch tires to allow my tires to stick out more???

They have lug centric and hub centric, for tacomas you need hub centric. Spidertrax are very popular and so are all pro's.

 

Okay..so running these on my aftermarket wheels and tires wouldn't hurt anything?

 

What's your offset on them? I'm running mine on stock sport 17's with zero offset.

 

how wide are your rims and what is the backspacing?
If you combine spacers and say 10" wide rims that have 4" backspacing, you create a situation where there is an excessive amount of moment force on the bearings and other components which can lead to premature failure.

 

Not sure what my back spacing is but my rims are 9 inches Im pretty sure

 

Hub centric adapters have a "lip" that acts as the hub for the wheels to mount on. It allows the wheel to center itself perfectly.


These are lug centric. People get away using these, but I would never use them on a daily driver. This puts too much load on the studs imo which I feel is not safe in the long run.

Get the hub centric ones and you'll be fine.

 

But my tires hardly stick out and they are 285 70 17s and that bugs me that they don't stick out that much

hmmm i got all pro hubcentric 1.5 inch on all 4 tires. gonna get rims with less back spacing and gonna take the rear ones off. there brand new too. had em a month and just over 500 miles now.
pm me and i could sell em to you if i decide to take them off

why are you gonna take the rear off? haha you want a long travel look?

 

hub centric ones, i personally can say is safe for daily drive use. i, personally, cannot recommend using lug centric adapters for daily driver. i hope this clears it up.

btw, you can use them, but you might run into rubbing issues. i'd recommend you find someone local and test fit them before you purchase them. i'm not sure where you're located, but if you're local to me, i can help you out.

Iv got a guy sending me some and he said I can try them..after I put them on do I have to reset anything? Or change something?

 

nothing needs to be done. just torque them properly like you would do the wheels.
